In chrome free tannage Emdirenal KF produces soft, extremely white, tight and fine grain leathers with a mild, full handle. The leathers treated with show very little tendency to yellow under conditions of light and heat.
When included in the vegetable tannage Emdirenal KF accelerates tanning material penetration, improves grain properties, lightens the leather color and levels out dyeing. Emdirenal KF reduces the astringent effect of the more heavily filling vegetable and synthetic tanning materials, thus reduces the risk of grain cracking. Due to its low astringency finer grain structure along with good fullness is obtained.
Emdirenal KF has very low astringency, therefore part of the retanning with Emdirenal KF can be given before neutralization, giving a pronounced improvement in whiteness.
Emdirenal KF is fully compatible with anionic tanning materials, acid dyes and other anionic leather auxiliaries. Its addition accelerates tanning material penetration, it evens the difference of acidities of other products, thanks to its good buffering property. Due to its very good dispersing action vegetable and resin tanning materials that are included penetrate deeper and more uniformly.
When combined with resin tanning material like Emdirenal RTD, Emdirenal RTU, Resingan DK-66 better buffing and embossing properties with excellent finishing results are obtained.
Application recipes
In pretanning and tanning:
In chrome free tannage with 2,5% PAL24N, up to 5% Emdirenal KF
In retanning:
For car seat chrome free leather up to 10% Emdirenal KF
For car seat and upholstery wetblue leather up to 7% Emdirenal KF
For sheep garment leather up to 10 % Emdirenal KF
For double face in pickle float for tanning 20-30% Emdirenal KF
